Ok let's all face the fact that after 9-11 we we're pampered and spoiled and became somewhat greedy. Mortgages were a huge magic carpet ride for a large majority of the American people. All the advice in the world wasn't enough to block the fix of greed. Now we have gone from greed to homage to the microwave band-aid that we utilize to find cure to our financial illnesses.
The problem is that we have allowed the rest of the trend and media influence us on becoming crippled as a nation.
Truth has it; we are not crippled we have become self-paralyzed allowing our fore-come become our out-come.
Do we not have choices?
No solution? Kick-Start it by buying a freakin pack of gum.

Success breeds Success (If you believe it will)
Okay, even though my business has been on the books since last year; this is the firs year that I had a solid plan that is really proven to be successful. I have had a lot of pain and joy over the last year trying to figure it all out.
Although this week has really been proven to be a Hat Trick and a half there is still a lot I have to learn.
Thoughts become things. If you dwell on the negative, more negative will incubate and become like cancer in your life.
When you focus on goals that are positive and envision that those dreams or goals have already come true; you become magnetic.
The law of attraction will create what you focus on. If you focus on bad things in your life, then you will face the snowball effect of more bad things happening to you.
If you create in your mind the beauty and joy that your DAILY accomplishments bring to you; you will create a generation of beauty, success and joy.
The very best part is you have control over your own destiny.
If you believe in it: it will come true.

I Want to turn my "Rose Colored Glasses" in for a pair of Prada's
I'm a Betsy Johnson inspired part-time DJ, Actress, and full time Entrepreneur. Who knows what she wants and is seriously on her way to get it. I am inspired by women of great Success. Oprah, Barbara Walters, Madonna. I also take great pride in being a woman and being driven. I'm a feminist at heart but don't believe I need to bust balls to get somewhere.
When my mother and I would discuss me becoming a vocalist in a band she would say sternly, "Take off your Rose Colored Glasses, Pick a real job like becoming a nail technician", I would reply back to her that someday my Rose Colored Glasses will be made by Prada!
My mom used to also tell me "You can Be Anything if you try". So it's not a wonder that I'm confused. LOL!
Within the next six months I have a goal to become the Video Place that all San Diegans think of. I want EveGreyProductions to take over the world? Just kidding.
But I'm still gonna get those Prada's. the end!

Create Your Own Opportunity
This week has been very exciting for me. I joined the Better Business Bureau and the San Diego Chamber of Commerce. I will say that this time around I'm not waiting for an opportunity, I'm creating opportunity.
I have the ability to become bigger and better if I allow myself to soak up all the information I can.
My faith clings deeply as I'm about to venture into an area of being a business owner, an entrepreneur, a leader. I will make my own destiny.
I could spend every day filling out applications in this busted up economy or I could find ways to create business.
The other way is a lot more fun!

A letter to Josh
A young Director, Producer and Actor asked for some guidance today on writing a good proposal. It's so fun when I am asked to evaluate something. I love the enthusiasm these fresh faces bring to me.
I decided to include this in my blog today since there are some common mistakes that people make when they create a Proposal for film or television.
These points do not include the proposal process all the way, but they are some very good tips that anyone could use

I really thought it was very good. I think that it was nice that you have put a personality to the Proposal.
Here are my notes for you.
You had one spelling error. Read it out loud to yourself and then have someone else check it. Spelling and Grammar are imperative.
List all Players with 1 paragraph Bio's each time you add someone. It was good that you did that but needs to go in the beginning. This is also where you would want to add Why this project is important to you and how you would sell it. Explain "What makes this person important to this project"?
Make sure you sell them on the projects "Uniqueness" If it is similar tell why this one is so different?
When you are discussing the story write the sentences in the form as if it is happening right in front of them. What do they see? Example: Jeremy and I are walking across the blood riddled football field, when two shots are heard. That' how the project will be captivating.
Leave off No Producers TBD

Making Lists
I woke up this morning with the intention that I was going to get so much work done but then I realized that my cell phone didn't work. I can't allow that to get in my way and I have so many other things to be working on. Blogging is one of them.
My game plan today is to look fresh and start new. Re-organize my boards, make my game plan for the week, set up a routine for excersice. Go out and shoot some quality video.
Even though I have no phone the list is endless to what I do without one.
Time management is imperative to those in the entertainment production industry.
I find that what works for me is to create lists. At the end of my day I have crossed out a dozen or so tasks on my list. That makes me manage my time better but it also creates a lot of self-esteem because at the end of the day I realize that I have accomplished a whole set of things. These lists can be used later when writing resume's or cover letters to show that I have tackled these tasks and completed them.
As soon as a thought comes to my head, I write it down. No human can possibly remember everything. Once I forgot to write down that I wasn't supposed to update my software on my cell phone.... And this is the reason I can't use it today!
